Abstract licensing
All abstracts of contributions to the TEI Conference and Members' Meeting 2016 are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC-BY 4.0). In line with the open spirit of the TEI Consortium, this license allows to share and adapt the abstracts as long as appropriate credit is given to the authors. The abstracts can be accessed here.
General equipment
WiFi, a laptop with a large presentation screen and microphones will be available for all presentation formats. If you wish to use your own laptop, please do not forget to bring the according adapters.
Papers
Speakers will be given 30 minutes each for presenting individual papers: 20 minutes for presentation, 10 minutes for discussion. Please plan your presentation accordingly: As papers will be presented in parallel sessions, the time frame will need to be met. Chairs will be strict about timing.
Posters
Poster presenters will be given 3 minutes per poster to present their topic in the poster presentation session (Thursday, 29 September, 2-3.30 p.m.; a large screen will be available for these short presentations). Subsequently, the audience will have time to browse the poster exhibition (3.30-4.30 p.m.) freely and speak to the poster presenters.
During the 3 minute presentation, the posters will be projected on a screen. For this purpose, all poster presenters are asked to send your poster as PDF to tei2016@oeaw.ac.at no later than 25 September 2016. This PDF will not be published in print or online, but will be used for the sole purpose of projecting during the presentation.
Presenters will have the opportunity to put up their posters from Wednesday, 28 September, 9 a.m. to Thursday, 29 September, 2 p.m. All poster walls will be placed in the Aula, where coffee will be offered during coffee breaks. The wall assigned to you will be marked with your name and the poster title. Pins will be provided.
Measurements: The recommended size for posters is DIN A0 (84,1 × 118,9 cm) in portrait format.
Printing: In case you should not be able to bring your physical poster with you, a copy shop offering the possibility to print posters is located in walking distance to the venue: Repa.neo Wien City (open daily from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m.), Franz-Josefs-Kai 33, 1010 Vienna google maps
Demonstrations
This is a new format: One special session will be dedicated to tool demonstrations.
Presenters will be given 15 minutes each: 10 minutes for presentation, 5 minutes for questions. A large screen will be available for these presentations. The demonstration session will take place on Wednesday, 28 September, 5 p.m.: Please contact the conference team at the registration desk in the preceding break or earlier to test the technical equipment.
