The Austrian Academy of Sciences (OEAW) is the leading Austrian non-university institution for science and research; it stands for social discourse, the transfer of knowledge and basic research at the highest international level.
It is located in Vienna’s first district in the heart of the city, minutes away from the famous St. Stephen’s cathedral. The Academy is situated in the old university building, offering attractive accommodation for the TEI 2016, for example the baroque festival room and the beautiful assembly hall.
All conference sessions took place in the Academy's main buliding (Doktor-Ignaz-Seipel-Platz 2, 1010 Vienna) and the adjacent building (Sonnenfelsgasse 19, 1010 Vienna), in which the ACDH is located.
